Spiritual/Metaphysical
Healing is complementary to, not instead of, allopathic
treatment. It is given as an aid to the healing
of mind, body, and spirit by means of prayer, meditation
and the laying on of hands. Whilst Healers do not
promise a cure and do not diagnose, we are confident
that some benefit will usually be received by most
patients. Healing is often used to supplement other
forms of treatment the patient may be receiving
from a General Practitioner or Hospital. Our Healers
will always encourage patients to follow or continue
treatment recommended by their medical practitioner.
When a patient is referred to a Healer by a doctor,
the doctor remains responsible for the patient.
We recommend that all our healers ask clients to
sign a disclaimer to show that they understand this.

ABOUT SOUTH YORKSHIRE
HEALERS
South Yorkshire Healers is a
non profit making, non denominational, organisation
which was formed to enable all healers and spiritual
workers in the Yorkshire area (and the rest of the UK),
experienced or trainees, regardless of sex, race, religious
beliefs, or other belief systems to have a place where
they can join with like minded people to practise the
healing arts, talk, discuss problems and find help with
such things as training, continual personal development,
code of conduct, up to date information on Government
regulations, bookeeping, self assessment tax, legal
aspects and reasonably priced insurance. Fed up with
all the 'in house' arguments, changing goal posts, high
fees and unscrupulous high priced teaching methods;
we aim to create a safe and happy learning environment
with reputable tutors from several learning sectors
(not just in house). Ongoing free help and advice on
a wide range of topics for full members.
We will endeavour to raise the
standards of Healers, Mediums & Psychics working
with the public by making sure they have relevant insurance,
qualifications including first aid and CRB checks where
necessary and appropriate.
We aim to educate the public
in responsible use of all forms of healing and in the
personal responsibility of each member of the public
for his/her own health.
We will hold regular meetings,
healing exchanges and workshop days in the Yorkshire
area. We will hold seminars and workshops across the
UK as and when required.
We offer free advertising and
website links on our pages for our members and inclusion
in our healers or mediums registers. If you wish to
become a healer we can offer training or provide you
with contact details of a qualified trainer in your
area. Our Full Paid Members are offered unlimited advice
on general topics.
Membership of South Yorkshire
Healers is open to qualified practitioners of any discipline
of healing, including registered medical practitioners
and also to Ministers of recognised religious bodies
who personally and regularly practice the ministry of
healing. Subject only that all members have completed
the criteria of healing necessary to become a member
of South Yorkshire Healers.

new to healing we will train you to a recognised
standard. This can be achieved through various
methods (prices and details on application).
Fully qualified
healers (including Reiki Healers upon approval
of trainer), although your current qualifications
will be honoured and taken into account, you
will still need to meet our criteria. , some study and coursework may be
required.

encourage our healer members to take an up to
date course in First Aid a which we will be providing
shortly at reduced rates for our members.
We recommend
that all our members apply for a disclosure
certificate. What
is a disclosure? A Disclosure
is a document containing impartial and confidential
criminal history information held by the police
and government departments which can be used
by employers to make safer recruitment decisions.
Disclosure information could include:
• Details of criminal records
• Information about a persons inclusion
on children's or adults' lists
• Other relevant information held by a
local police force or Government Body
• Or state that there is no information

within their power to make sure that all their
members are reputable, honest and trustworthy
we still advise clients to ask questions and do
their own checks where necesaary. You as a client
are entitled to ask to see proof of identity before
allowing anyone into your home or to work on your
person.

of complementary therapies are not intended to
replace allopathic/traditional medical treatment
and care. They are intended to work side by side
with these treatments. Nor are they intended to
replace proper diagnoses and/or treatment by a
qualified medical practitioner.

can be guaranteed by the therapist/practitioner
and that any guidance given to you is for you
to consider only. Any decisions and choices that
you make as a result of that guidance or any consultation
are your own legal and personal responsibility,
both now and in the future. You take full responsibility
for understanding and agreeing to the terms as
outlined above. You further accept that the consultation
offered to you is not intended as a replacement
for conventional medical treatment, but is a complementary
therapy that is intended to work side by side

not excessively so, wouldn't you rather be with an organisation
that works within the law and tries to keep everything
above board ?

records for all therapies including healing this isnow a requirement of our insurance company.
